3. Nature of Our Courses
Important notice regarding the nature of our content.
Peranakan Capital provides general financial education. Our courses and materials are intended to improve your understanding of financial concepts and considerations. They do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or tax advice, and should not be relied upon as such. We do not recommend specific investments, products, or strategies for your individual circumstances. If you require personalised financial or legal advice, you should consult a suitably qualified professional.
Past results discussed in case studies or examples are for illustrative purposes only and are not indicative of future outcomes. Investing and financial planning involve uncertainty, and no educational programme can remove that uncertainty.
4. Enrolment and Payment
Enrolment
Enrolment in a Course is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. We reserve the right to decline enrolment at our discretion, in which case any payment received will be returned in full.
Fees
Course fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (S$) and inclusive of GST where applicable at the rate prevailing at the date of enrolment. Fees are displayed on the Website and confirmed at checkout.
Payment
Payment is processed through a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details. Payment is due in full at the time of enrolment unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation by you
- If you cancel your enrolment more than 14 calendar days before the first session of the Course, you will receive a full refund, less any payment processing fees charged by our payment provider.
- If you cancel within 14 calendar days of the first session but before the Course begins, we will offer a credit note valid for 12 months, or a 50% refund at your request.
- Once a Course has commenced, fees are non-refundable for sessions already delivered. We will consider requests for credit notes on a case-by-case basis where there are exceptional circumstances.
Cancellation or changes by us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a Course where enrolment numbers are insufficient or circumstances beyond our control make delivery impractical. In the event of cancellation by us, you will receive a full refund of fees paid. In the event of a rescheduled date, we will offer you the choice of the new date or a full refund.
6. Conduct During Courses
We ask all participants to engage respectfully with instructors and fellow learners. We reserve the right to remove a participant from a Course, without refund, where their conduct is disruptive, offensive, or otherwise contrary to the spirit of a learning environment.
You may not record sessions without the prior written consent of Peranakan Capital and any other participants present.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including workbooks, slides, templates, recorded sessions, and written content, are the intellectual property of Peranakan Capital or our licensors. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or adapt materials without our prior written consent.
All content on the Website — text, graphics, logos, and structure — is owned by or licensed to Peranakan Capital. Unauthorised reproduction or use is not permitted.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law:
- We do not accept liability for any financial losses, investment losses, or consequential losses arising from your participation in a Course or from decisions you make based on course content.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or from a Course shall not exceed the fees paid by you for that Course.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Website Use
The Website is provided for informational and enrolment purposes. We endeavour to keep information accurate and up to date but do not warrant its completeness or accuracy. You use the Website at your own risk.
You agree not to use the Website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive to other users or to our systems.

11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms, the Website, or a Course shall first be referred to mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
