This policy describes how Peranakan Capital Pte. Ltd. collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). We ask that you read it carefully.

1. Who We Are
Peranakan Capital Pte. Ltd. ("Peranakan Capital", "we", "us", or "our") is a financial education provider incorporated in Singapore. Our registered office is at 1 Wallich Street, #26-04, Singapore 078881. We operate the website at peranakn.info and deliver courses described on that website.
For the purposes of the PDPA, Peranakan Capital is the data controller of the personal data we collect from you.
2. Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data that you provide to us directly and data that arises from your use of our website. The categories include:
Data you provide to us
- Your name, email address, and telephone number when you complete an enquiry form or register for a course.
- Payment information (processed through our payment provider; we do not store card numbers).
- Correspondence you send to us by email, telephone, or post.
- Feedback, survey responses, or testimonials you choose to submit.
Data collected automatically
- Browser type, operating system, and IP address, collected through standard server logs.
- Pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring URLs, collected through analytics tools.
- Cookie identifiers, where you have consented to non-essential cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
3. How We Use Personal Data
We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to enquiries and provide information about our courses.
- To process enrolments, manage payments, and administer your participation in a course.
- To send you course materials, reminders, and updates relevant to your enrolment.
- To communicate about changes to our courses, policies, or terms.
- To improve our website and the quality of our educational content.
- To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
We will not use your personal data for direct marketing unless you have given us explicit consent to do so, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Under the PDPA, we rely on the following grounds to collect and use your personal data:
- Contractual necessity: Processing required to deliver a course you have enrolled in.
- Legitimate interests: Improving our website and services, and maintaining the security of our systems.
- Legal obligation: Complying with Singapore law, including tax and record-keeping requirements.
- Consent: For optional activities such as email marketing or the placement of analytics cookies.
5. Disclosure of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Third-party companies that assist us with payment processing, email delivery, and website analytics. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements: Where disclosure is required by Singapore law, a court order, or a regulatory authority.
- Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred to a successor entity subject to equivalent data protection commitments.
6. Transfers Outside Singapore
Some of our service providers operate servers outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data overseas, we take steps to ensure that the recipient country or organisation provides a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA. This may include contractual clauses or relying on the recipient's participation in an approved certification framework.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Enrolment records are typically retained for seven years following the close of a course, consistent with Singapore financial record-keeping obligations. Analytics data is retained for no more than 26 months. Enquiry correspondence is retained for 24 months unless a course enrolment follows, in which case the enrolment retention period applies.
8. Your Rights Under the PDPA
Under the PDPA, you have the right to:
- Access: Request confirmation of whether we hold personal data about you and, if so, a copy of that data.
- Correction: Request that we correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
- Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw any consent you have given, with reasonable notice. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
- Data portability: In certain circumstances, request that we provide your personal data in a commonly used machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, please write to our Data Protection Officer at the address or email below. We will respond within 30 calendar days.
9. Security
We implement appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include access controls, encrypted transmission (HTTPS), and regular security reviews. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure; we encourage you to take care when sharing personal information online.
10. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies are placed without consent as they are strictly necessary for the website to function. Analytics and marketing cookies are placed only with your consent. For a full explanation of the cookies we use, please read our Cookie Policy.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to read their privacy notices before providing any personal data.
12. Children
Our courses and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will arrange for it to be deleted promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
