Why Peranakan Capital

Learning at a pace that respects your life.

Paced for Mid-Life

Every curriculum is designed with the reality of a full life in mind — working professionals, caregiving responsibilities, and decades of accumulated experience to build on.

Singapore-Specific Content

CPF, SRS, SGX, HDB — every course addresses the instruments and regulations that actually govern your financial situation here in Singapore, not generic Western frameworks.

Expert-Led, Small Groups

Courses are led by practitioners with both academic grounding and field experience. Cohorts are kept small so questions are genuinely addressed, not glossed over.

Practical Materials

Each course comes with workbooks, worksheets, and templates you will use beyond the programme — not slides you forget the following week.

No Sales Agenda

Peranakan Capital does not sell financial products or receive commissions. Our only interest is that you leave better informed than when you arrived.

Culturally Grounded

Our approach acknowledges the multi-generational expectations and family obligations common across Singapore's communities — these are part of your financial picture too.

Questions

What learners often ask

Do I need any financial background to join?
No prior knowledge is assumed in any of our programmes. The CPF LIFE course assumes you know what CPF is, but all three courses begin from foundational concepts. Learners who do have some background simply find the early sessions a useful consolidation of what they already know.
How are the courses delivered — in-person or online?
We offer both in-person sessions at our Tanjong Pagar office and live online delivery via Zoom. In-person cohorts are generally capped at 12 participants. Online cohorts follow the same schedule and include the same materials posted to you in advance.
What does the course fee include?
The fee covers all weekly sessions, printed course materials, workbooks, and any specialist Q&A sessions listed in the course description. There are no additional charges. Materials are yours to keep.
When do new cohorts begin?
New cohorts generally begin at the start of each calendar quarter — January, April, July, and October. Places are limited, so we encourage enquiries a few weeks before your preferred start date. We can also notify you when the next cohort for a specific course is confirmed.
Is there a refund or deferral policy?
We understand that plans change. Full deferral to the next available cohort is possible up to one week before the start date. A refund less an administrative charge is available up to two weeks before commencement. Please contact us directly to discuss your situation.
Does completing a course qualify me as a financial adviser?
No. Our programmes are educational courses for personal decision-making and are not professional qualifications. We issue a certificate of completion, but this has no regulatory standing. For professional licensing in Singapore, please refer to MAS-accredited programmes.
